Are you looking for your next chapter at HEINEKEN UK? You already know that we make great beers and ciders, well we also offer exciting and dynamic careers!
We’re looking for someone that is as ready to evolve for the future as we are. If you’re ready to brew a new career, apply for our Turnaround & Risk Manager to join our Reporting & Accounting team in the Finance function!
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Turnaround & Risk Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of recovery and turnaround accounts. This will be a mix of recovery, intensive care, secured and unsecured across all of our trading channels (free trade, nationals, off trade and tenanted business).
Working collaboratively within a team, you’ll focus on delivering effective debt recovery whilst achieving your personal performance and delivery objectives. Your role will help minimise bad debt provisions across the portfolio and provide counsel on risk management and bad debt mitigation strategies across our entire account base.
Who we’re looking for?
We’re looking for someone with strong commercial acumen, especially in balancing risk and reward and an understanding of debt recovery. Knowledge of UK Litigation Law would be a bonus but isn’t essential. Our external Solicitors will provide you with advice and recommendations. So if you bring solid business knowledge and a willingness to learn, we’ll provide the training and support to develop these skills further.
You’ll be working with a lot of stakeholders around the business, so the ability to build relationships and business partner will be key. We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo, support continuous process improvement, and always keep the customer at the heart of what they do.

If you have:

  • Negotiation Skills: You can negotiate effectively, constructively challenge, and influence both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: You’re a team player with strong interpersonal skills and can quickly establish effective business partnerships.
  • Time Management: You’re highly organised and capable of working at pace, managing multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: You’re proactive in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: You’re passionate about improving processes and driving better results, always keeping the customer’s needs in focus.

Then this could be the role for you!
Our Benefits

As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive;

  • Discretionary Annual bonus
  • Flexible benefits (15% of base salary can be taken as cash, benefits, or a mix of both)
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop.

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.
Our ways of working
This role is office based, we currently operate a hybrid working framework which allows us to capture the benefits of both working in the office and at home. For full-time roles, we work a minimum of 3 days in the office – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with Monday and Friday being our work-from-home days.
In May we’ll be moving to a fantastic new office at 6 St Andrew Square – right in the heart of the city centre.
The office is in a great location with excellent public transport links so it’s really easy to get to whether you’re travelling by train, bus or tram!
With a brilliant selection of restaurants, bars, shops and our very own Star Pubs on our doorstep, you’ll be spoilt for choice for extracurricular activities. And if you fancy catch up after hours with your colleagues, our in-house bar with fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle might just be the spot for you!
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our new home
