TV Engineer

WHO YOU ARE

• Relevant experience in the TV industry, ideally within a Cable or xDSL operator(s) on a product/technical role.
• Strong knowhow on 3rd Party App integration within Android TV OS and be able to apply it to the product.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues and tasks to a non-technical audiences
• Experience of STB / applications testing
• Strong knowhow of TV solution(s) core elements such as: Agile methodologies, cloud based development, content streaming technologies, DRM
• Must be familiar with the Android TV framework particularly around Android TV applications: app management, app configuration, content discovery
• Must be familiar with content restrictions, STB middleware, TV backend systems, content, billing & metadata management, technical project management
• Knowhow of TV solution(s) core elements such as: HTML 5, Android TV, Agile methodologies, cloud based development, STB OS, content streaming technologies

• To manage TV integration/development for TAD, engaging with the technical development partners and the markets for the creation of the VFTV solution.
• Responsible for steering the implementation and development of 3rd Party Apps within the VTV solution.
• Responsible for requirement gathering and creation, translating high level needs into technical actionable items.
• Engage with clients (OpCo’s) and partners on an independent and senior level, understanding their needs and limitations
• Manage and steer partners towards a common objective and timeline taking the lead as the decision maker and identifying and reporting risks accordingly.
