Responsibilities

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.
The Neurobiology of miRNA Research Unit (https://ncrna.iit.it ) is coordinated by Davide De Pietri Tonelli and is composed by Biologists, Biotechnologist, Bioinformaticians, who work in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary staff of IIT having complementary expertise in multi-omics, material science, neuro-physiology and neuro-electronics. The research focuses on the control of neural stem cell fate by noncoding RNAs, in developing and adult mammalian brain. Central questions addressed involve basic aspects of small noncoding RNAs (e.g., microRNAs, Piwi-interacting RNAs) in neuroscience and their translational applications for neurological diseases.

Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design and conduct the experiments, analyze the data
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary staff of IIT, draft reports, give oral presentations in lab meetings and Dept. Seminars
