Could you be the full-time Type Test Engineer in Vasteras we’re looking for?
Responsibilities:
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
Take on a new challenge and apply your type test engineering expertise to secure compliance to the various railway standards and norms for the electronic products and work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.
You’ll specifically take care of proofing that our products comply to the national or international railway norms and standards.
We’ll look to you for:
- Specifying, executing, and reporting the mandatory HW type tests for electronic products. This includes e.g. EMC, climate, shock & vibration, HALT (highly accelerated life testing) and HASS (highly accelerated stress screening) tests.
- Obtaining and maintaining knowledge of relevant norms and standards.
- Guide, support BT projects with expertise.
- Responsible for inhouse type test laboratories

- Degree in Electronics Engineering or relevant work experience
- Specific knowledge and experience in in type testing (EMC/Climate/HALT/HASS of electronic products)
- Good knowledge of standards and norms relevant to electronic design with adherence to EMC and environmental impacts
- Experience from product development projects
- Showing initiative and
- An outside-the-box approach to testing
- Decision-making confidence
- Familiarity with rail or a keenness to learn more
- Accountability, collaboration, and great communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Curiosity and flexibility
