Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working with both hand and power tools. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres for a variety of vehicles. The successful applicant will be expected to perform heavy lifting and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven mechanical knowledge, particularly related to tyre fitting and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 25 kg).
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess tyres for wear and damage, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation and handling.
- Repair punctures and other tyre-related issues as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist customers with tyre selection and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Keep accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
