Description:

The Army Aviation UH-60 Quality Control Technical Inspector (UH-60 QC-TI) is responsible for maintaining the Quality Control, Environmental and Safety Programs at the field level in support of assigned aircraft and Support Equipment.

  • Valid (FAA) A&P Certificate OR FCC License (with Elements 1 and 3) And an (FAA) IA Inspection Authorization may be Required.
  • A Minimum of Five (5) years hands-on UH-60 Maintainer and QC-TI experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a US Govt Clearance (T-1 NAC-I Public Trust) US Citizenship is Required for the NAC-I.
  • Valid US Passport is Required for Travel to Germany.
  • Inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications.
  • Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components.
  • Approve or reject work accomplished by field team members to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards and technical data.
  • Review and approve locally developed procedures and solutions to complex repair situations.
  • Perform analysis of defects and interprets quality control rejection and failure trends.
  • Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements.
  • Using checklists, perform daily work site Safety Inspections and Foreign Object Damage Inspections.
  • Monitor tool control programs, inspects and maintains records to ensure that measuring and test equipment meets calibration requirements.
  • Maintain Quality, Safety, Training and Certification Records.
  • Coordinate with the Customer Quality Assurance Representative concerning quality matters, mandatory inspection points and final acceptance inspection of contract end items or services.
  • Inspect forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is Required.

UH-60 QC TI REQUIREMENTS “WITH” VALID (FAA) A&P CERTIFICATE:

  • Five (5) years of recent applicable hands-on Army Aircraft A&P Mechanic experience on the UH-60, WITH a Valid (FAA) A&P Certificate AND a Minimum of One (1) year of UH-60 QC TI Technical Inspector hands-on experience is Required.

UH-60 QC TI REQUIREMENTS WITHOUT (FAA) A&P, WITH A VALID FCC LICENSE WITH (ELEMENTS 1 AND 3):

  • Five (5) years of recent applicable hands-on Army Aircraft Mechanic experience on the UH-60, WITH a Valid FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3), AND a Minimum of Five (5) years of hands-on UH-60 QC TI experience as an Aircraft Technical Inspector on the (UH-60) Mission Design Series (MDS) aircraft they will be inspecting.
  • A Valid (FAA) IA - Inspection Authorization is strongly desired, in addition to (FAA) A&P and/or FCC.
  • Without an IA, All UH-60 QC-TI Inspector candidates will be Required to have the Five (5) year Minimum of hands-on UH-60 QC TI experience on the UH-60 (MDS) aircraft they will be inspecting.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, (NAC-I T1 Public Trust). ** US Citizenship is required to obtain a T-1 NAC-I Public Trust, and for access to facility Credentials (CAC).
  • An Interim T-1 NAC-I approval is required prior to Deployment.
  • A valid US Passport is Required for deployment and travel to Germany.

GERMANY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • TESA /DOCPER Approval: (via the German Govt) is Required.
  • Must qualify and be able to obtain Germany TESA approval; with a Minimum of Five (5) years career total Aviation maintenance experience.
  • Travel: As required in support of task order.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work tasks.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
  • Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.
  • Must have skill in reading, applying, and interpreting technical data.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
