These factories deliver AI/ML Applications, Data Science Platforms, Blockchain and Microservices for DoD, Healthcare and Civilian Agencies
JOB SUMMARY:
The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces for applications developed under the DoD. This role is essential for ensuring that users can effectively interact with AI-enabled tools and data analytics platforms, thereby enhancing the overall user experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably within government or military environments.
- Proven track record of designing user-centered interfaces for complex applications.
- Experience with responsive design principles and accessibility standards.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights about user needs and behaviors, translating findings into design improvements.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize design concepts and interactions for various applications within the Search Portfolio.
- Design Implementation: Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and maintain a high standard of quality across all platforms.
- Style Guides & Documentation: Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and documentation to ensure consistency in UI/UX across all products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to align design solutions with project goals and technical requirements.
