What will this role achieve?
pladis, our recently established global biscuit and confectionery company, has operations in 120 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas. The UK&I Central Supply Chain team play a key role as part of the global Supply Chain team for ensuring we act as “one” to meet demand, drive the opportunities to maximise our harmonies, prioritising how we spend capital for the good of the business and enable effective and efficient local operational management of supply and service.
The role of UK&I Industrial Engineer is a key role within UK&I Central Supply Chain team and will reports to the UK&I Supply Chain Director.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Drive front end proposals for efficiency investments in the UK&I Supply Chain
- Support Infrastructure and Quality, Health & Safety budget holders with front end scoping of projects
- Ensure standardisation of early stage URS documents
- Support capability team with front end capex scoping
- Deliver factory development master-plans for each manufacturing and logistics site in UK&I
- Support manufacturing sites in the development and submission of efficiency projects
- Liaises with the UK S&OP teams on capacity analysis activities for specific projects where required and on an ongoing basis regarding capacity areas and bottlenecks
- Coordinates the UK&I Business Continuity process

Essential
- Multi-discipline / multi-function team working and partner management skills and experience.
- Comfortable working with senior partners as well as an ability to build strong connections at all levels in the organisation.
- Project Management Skills
- Strong analytical skills – can interpret & summarise complex data
- Strategic critical thinking
Desirable
- Broad FMCG manufacturing (operational / engineering) experience desirable, especially Food Manufacturing
- Strong process / technical experience desirable, especially Engineering project delivery
Qualifications:
- BSc ‐ Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Process or similar) or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Lean techniques is preferred
What will the interview process be?
- 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
- 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.
pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
