- Contribute to the quarterly research process, shaping research forecasts and market / asset commentary
- Co-ordinate and develop junior members of staff within the REIM UK business line across transaction and asset management functions
- Grow capabilities of local team into new asset classes and strategies, particularly higher risk adjusted return business plans and alternative asset classes in target markets
- Support Head of UK business with new business development activity
- Contributes to the delivery of a high quality service, improve systems and processes - be innovative and creative and encourage this in others, while making sure pan European process, tool and procedures are deployed and used
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The UK & Ireland Real Estate Investment Manager leads on all transactional and asset management activity across their local market. Their role is to asset manage the existing portfolio of UK & Irish assets alongside supporting in origination, underwriting of transactions on behalf of discretionary REIM funds and non-discretionary Separate Account Mandates (SAM).
Their role will provide a cradle to grave service to equity partners, delivering sustainable and risk adjusted returns across the real estate investment universe, from acquisition to asset management to disposal. They will be comfortable owning all transaction and asset management outcomes and delegating to junior team members as appropriate.
The role holder will champion the local business line as part of the wider European REIM set-up, leveraging the companies’ brand and their existing network. Their success in the role will occur by supporting the AUM growth ambitions of REIM and expanding the knowledge of junior team members to work efficiently and independently. They will be a critical team member to delivering the future success of the local business whilst ensuring alignment to the wider international platform across transactional and asset management activity.
