Job Summary
Responsible for development and implementation of tactical marketing programs to drive margin and revenue for reagents, instruments, software and consumables from Immucor’s whole portfolio (Transfusion and Transplant) in the UK and Ireland after a thorough examination and understanding of market needs and requirements. Provides tactical product management activities for these markets. Makes sure these actions are carried out. Acts as key marketing representative for the national territory.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintains a strong working partnership with the sales organisation and the entire global marketing team (including Tactical International Marketing, Corporate Upstream Marketing and Tactical US Marketing).
  • Ensures customers and business needs are reflected in the programs developed by understanding the customers, our products, our served and potential markets and creates appropriate actions to advance our brand, products and objectives.
  • Develops marketing plans and sales / customers programs to achieve planned goals.
  • Effectively champions and positions products and performance to financial results and tracks monthly performance metrics to plan.
  • Develops and implements tactics and tools to achieve goals.
  • Manages tactical implementation of key marketing activities including but not limited to advertising, development and production of regional tools and sales collaterals, product launch execution, competitive analysis tolls and additional sales tools as needed.
  • Provides support to the sale sand the field personnel including but not limited to product communications, fulfilment of marketing support requests and the development of effective sales tools to drive the business.
  • Responsible for the marketing activities for the local shows and conventions relating to coordination of booth needs, theme development, advertising and booth strategy.
  • Provides assistance and guidance to the Ireland distributor to develop and execute their plans.
  • Maintains market and competitive intelligence (market changes, market shares, target markets, market segmentation, SWOT analysis, pricing, local positioning).
  • Develops, implements, tracks, measures, analyses and refines program activities and effectiveness.
  • Establishes strategic initiatives with key opinion leaders to support Immucor continuous success.
  • Compile competitive information and communicate to upstream marketing for global competitive database.
  • Deliver tactical sales tools for country marketing activities including, but not limited to development of sales collateral, field communications and marketing communications.
  • Provide support to the Transfusion & Transplant UK as it pertains to product specific analytics and analytics related to current tactical promotions and campaigns.
  • Delivery market assessments – user needs, business case and revenue assessments for new projects / products.
  • Support international marketing activities such as congresses, workshops, demos etc., as needed.
  • Supports the development and implementation of strategic plans for the area of responsibility including the creation of all tools needed for successful sales outcomes.
  • Keeps up to date with the current market needs and requirements in area of responsibility, creating product information.
  • Develops competitive knowledge to help shape product positioning/pricing and product development/pre-launch/launch/post-launch activities, leading to increased market share within the area of responsibility.
  • Forecasts and maintains marketing budget and plans in area of responsibility for business needs and marketing actions.
  • Conduct product training and presentations, for sales team and customers, guaranteeing them expert assistance and guidance on Transplant & Transfusion products/services.
  • Serves as contact person between the Marketing Director International and the local organization on marketing related issues.
  • Establishes strategic initiatives with key opinion leaders to support continuous success for the Transplant & Transfusion business line.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
Batchelors level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in an applicable role, with a minimum of 3 years employment experience in a related position. Proficient computer skills, including Work, Excel, Powerpoint, SAP and other corporate tools.
