Description:
SUMMARY
The UK Offshore Medic is responsible for providing medical services in accordance with good medical practice and applicable rules and regulations.
The UK Offshore Medic is primarily responsible for all aspects of health management and support including Primary Care and Trauma Care. The Medic reports to the OIM, Captain, Party Manager, or designee on all medical cases that could affect the safety of the rig or vessel or require mandatory reporting.
RMI Global Solutions personnel have the responsibility to observe, respect and comply with client HSSEQ standards including the client Management System and in particular the work permit system.
RMI personnel have an obligation to avoid or stop work that is unsafe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of experience required at current license/certification level of UK Offshore Medic (2 years of independent experience in independent military medicine prior to obtaining UKOM acceptable).
- Experience in austere medicine in lieu of maritime medicine may be acceptable on a case by case basis.
- Experience with recognizing and treating common medical conditions, as well as emergency conditions.
- Experience with injury and illness classification and reporting within the oil and gas and offshore wind industry preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and general computer & technology literacy
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Administrative skills.
- Training as per training matrix
- 2 years offshore experience

Responsibilities:
- Assist with control of Protection Equipment for Personnel (PPE).
- Assist with investigation of injury cases involving personnel.
- Administrative work as required.
- Keep personnel informed regarding the period of validity of their health certificates.
- Other duties as required.
