Responsibilities:
WHAT DOES THE ROLE LOOK LIKE?
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic People Development Manager to lead the design, implementation, and management of our UK learning initiatives, with an additional focus on early careers programs. Responsible for two sites (Wolverhampton & Banbury) you will drive talent development, enhance employee engagement, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning to meet both organisational and individual career aspirations.
This role is pivotal in shaping the future workforce by attracting, developing, and retaining early-career talent, while also overseeing comprehensive learning programs across the business.
WHAT WILL YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES LOOK LIKE?
- Lead a team of UK L&D/Early Careers specialists, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate learning and development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with UK leadership teams to identify skills gaps and create training interventions to address them.
- Work closely with the global learning and development/talent team to embed global initiatives into the UK delivery.
- Develop a suite of learning programs, including workshops, e-learning, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
- Responsibility for the delivery of Management Development Programmes in the UK.
- Play a fundamental part in the UK Leadership Development Review, ensuring robust models in place to enhance our talent management systems.
- Support the development and usage of the Learning Management System.
- Partner with subject matter experts to create role-specific development pathways.
- Manage and grow the onsite training academy in line with strategic plan.
- Measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives through metrics and feedback, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Design and implement UK strategy for early-career programs, including graduate schemes, apprenticeships, and internships.
- Manage a team to develop outreach initiatives to attract diverse talent from universities, schools, and other institutions.
- Collaborate with managers to create tailored onboarding and training plans for early-career hires.
- Foster partnerships with external organizations to promote career development opportunities and increase brand visibility.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external learning providers and partners.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within all learning and early-career programs.
