Description:

Purpose: This position is part of the Ukraine Mentorship Program (UMP) which advises, assists, and provides maintenance and logistics oversight of AFU personnel, Field Service Representatives in various platforms and repair operators, including performance of maintenance and repair of commercial or military equipment. This position has Subject Matter Expert oversight on all System of Subsystems repairs, inspections and the integration and retrograde of Military equipment assigned to the RDC-U program fleet. The Senior Technical Advisor will provide support in implementing program reviews and ensures the quality of RDC-U mentorship program by managing and optimizing mentorship program resources. They will also be responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met and must display efficient multitasking abilities, be detail-oriented and have working knowledge of materials movement, purchasing, inventory, and supply processes. Ultimately, a top-notch Senior Technical Advisor will exhibit superior technical knowledge, key computer competencies and be well-rounded in every aspect of the RDC-U program.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of six years (6) years of recent specialized experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret U.S. Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair and basic knowledge of Army Supply.
  • Must be familiar with manual and automated supply systems and processes, supply policies and procedures, techniques of requirement computation, storage practices, warehouse, and inventory management to include issuing, processing, packaging, and shipping parts and equipment and operational techniques in the functional area of supply, transportation, maintenance, and procurement.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel, and Word programs.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge with Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), preferred.
  • International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.
  • Prior military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and assists UMP FSRs planning, develops and delivers AFU mentorship in areas of supply and maintenance operations; provides technical expertise/support for AFU, serves as subject matter expert (SME) for various types of vehicles.
  • Develops and implements UMP assessments.
  • Advises and shares wide area of expertise with FSRs and AFU personnel.
  • Coordinates technical activities for maintenance and supply changes/updates.
  • Researches and creates strategic management and operational mentorship plans.
  • Provides technical assistance, advice, formal and informal operator and maintenance mentorship, technical data collection, reporting and processing of supply transactions regarding supply functions to ensure material requirements are met.
  • Coordinates and conducts mentorship development consisting of system operations, assembly and subassembly troubleshooting, component and system fault isolation and repairs.
  • Supervises FSRs with supply management functions involving planning, reporting, evaluating, and integrating logistics actions required to support RDC-U UMP.
  • Promotes, teaches, and presents quality as a means for product improvement and efficiencies accordance with applicable Army Regulations and Technical Manuals.
  • Creates and/or prepares Decision Making Processes, Courses of Actions, initial and progressive status briefings, and decision briefings to management.
  • Maintains a daily timesheet and daily manning reports and ensuring timekeeping data is accurate.
  • Responsible for the contractual and corporate compliance of work performed as it relates to quality, interaction with customers and provide glide-path milestones for success.
  • Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
  • Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
  • Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
