Description:
Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a UMS Pilot to join our SKY – UMS Division Team in Napa, CA. The UMS Pilot will serve as an operator of unmanned systems for Yamaha Motor Corporate U.S.A. This role will primarily involve piloting Yamaha’s unmanned helicopter’s for agricultural spray applications.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or related field (or comparable work experience)
- Part 107 Remote Pilot License (or higher level Pilot’s license) required
- Ability to acquire/maintain FAA Second Class Medical
- Experience operating remotely-controlled aircraft systems required
- Agricultural field experience preferred
- Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- 10% travel required

Pay Range: 56,290 to 99,060
Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha’s Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
Responsibilities:
- Pilot Yamaha unmanned helicopters and multi-rotor drones.
- Perform agricultural spray services operating Yamaha unmanned systems equipment, and supporting activities including mission planning, spray and cleanup.
- Learn and perform maintenance on unmanned systems and spray services equipment.
- Submit regulatory reporting associated with Yamaha’s spray services.
- Conduct site evaluations to determine if sites are an appropriate fit to utilize Yamaha’s spray services and conduct mission planning (including developing maps and flight plans).
- Promote Yamaha’s Spray Services at local trade shows and events.
- Communicate with customers on scheduling and spray applications.
- Work on research and adhoc projects as assigned by the Ag Business Development Manager.
