For over 15 years, HBC Management Services has provided professional security services to our clients in the federal government, military sectors, and private firms across the nation and in the pacific rim. We are currently recruiting for professional Unarmed and Armed Security Officers to work for our client in Washington DC.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Take appropriate actions to prevent the occurrence of fires, explosions, collapses, and other catastrophes. In such an event, summon appropriate response and then notify Client. Assist in minimizing the effects and in restoring the area to a safe condition.
- Safeguard and deter the commission of crimes against a person or persons, summon appropriate response forces, and assist those response forces as required. Provide emergency assistance as required. Follow emergency and contingency operating procedures as prescribed by the Client, during emergency situations.
- Deter and report damage, pilferage, removal, secreting, misappropriation, misuse, larceny, theft, or other improper or unlawful threats to, or disposition of Client or personal property or acts of wrongful destruction within the facilities or grounds.
- Enforce Client policies and procedures for controlling the removal of property and documents from the Location.
- Monitor, assess, and respond to alarms. Investigate and report any suspicious activity in accordance with established security policies and procedures.
- Maintain a written daily desk log of all patrols, incidents, alarms, shift change, etc.
- Receive, receipt for, and secure lost and found articles.

Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent/ Associates Degree preferred
- Required to have a current DC SPO Unarmed Security License
- Meet one (1) or more of the following requirements for experience:
- At least one (1) year of private security experience within the past five (5) years, or
- At least one (1) year of local, state/federal law enforcement experience, or
- At least two (2) years of military service with an honorable discharge.
- Successfully complete the required training classes that include OC Spray, CPR, Basic First Aid
- Pre-employment Drug Testing
