Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is a key role in our Undergraduate Office, providing efficient and effective co-ordination of all matters related to undergraduate teaching and assessment, including the provision of administrative support to all teaching colleagues. This student-facing role combines the need for excellent administrative skills, an organised approach, attention to detail, and the ability to develop good working relationships with students and colleagues. In doing so, the post holder has an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continued success of undergraduate programmes at Edinburgh Law School.
The role is part of a 7-person Undergraduate Team which provides administrative support for undergraduate teaching across the School. This post is open ended (permanent) and full-time (35 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The salary for this post is UE05 £28,879 to £33,232 per annum.

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable using a range of communication styles with different individuals across the organisation.
  • You will be used to organising your own time and workload, and will be comfortable working both independently and as a part of a team.
  • You will have a proven commitment to delivering a high standard, professional service to both students and colleagues alike.
  • You have excellent IT skills and will have significant experience of using spreadsheets and custom databases.You are able to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues
