Serving as a hub for student engagement, advising and transition support within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Arts Central is a dedicated space for students to connect with one another and with FASS engagement and advising staff. Arts Central advisors provide advising and enrolment support to prospective and current students, while also supporting on-campus recruitment and transition activities across the Faculty.
Responsibilities:
Arts Central Advisor/Recruiters work with prospective and current undergraduate students to advise them of the academic requirements for programs offered by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). They assist students in developing academic plans that support their academic and career goals, participate in recruitment and engagement activities on behalf of the Faculty and administer undergraduate registration, programs of study, and graduation activities.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a proactive team player who demonstrates the ability to solve problems effectively, interpret and apply policies, and exercise mature judgment, while communicating with tact and diplomacy.
