ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing administrative support to university faculty, TAs, and staff.
- Experience proofreading and formatting lecture notes, problem sets, tests and exams.
- Experience working with undergraduate students and providing information to students.
- Demonstrated ability in organizing and planning meetings and events including scheduling and proctoring make-up assessments
- Working knowledge of a wide variety of software tools such as Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and Access), OneDrive, ACORN, and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of QUERCUS and Crowdmark
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle stakeholder interactions and support tasks such as student advising, student accommodation requests, proofreading course material, and assisting in the development of new syllabi and TA forms
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong customer service focus to support appropriately support students, faculty, and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated awareness and application of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they pertain to students

Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Advising students on program and/or course requirements by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences
- Receiving and passing on application documents for review
- Checking course prerequisites prior to student enrolment; providing detailed information to students on program and/or course requirements
- Maintaining course information on student information systems
- Coordinating the recruitment and training process for teaching assistants
- Liaising with students and faculty to coordinate program activities; coordinating program schedules with stakeholders
- Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming; liaising with stakeholders to coordinate space and resource requirements
