JOB SUMMARY:

The Biochemistry department in the College of Agriculture is looking to hire an Undergraduate Research Assistant. The research focus of the lab is on the biosynthesis of plant primary and secondary metabolites and investigation of the
regulation of their formation. The undergraduate student responsibilities include: preparation of media and solutions, cleaning glassware, basic plant care and keeping inventory of reagent stocks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• No prior experience required.
• Federal Work Study eligible desired.

Students employed in this role will develop and demonstrate a number of transferable skills essential for future employment success. Key skills and responsibilities associated with this position include:

• Communicating effectively in a laboratory environment.
• Plan day-to-day work to efficiently complete tasks.
