JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the installation, maintainance and optimisation of the underground radio communications including the Leaky Feeder system, fibre optic cables, network system and WiFi devices to facilitate a reliable and effective communications network to support 24/7 mining operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Trade certificate in Electrical Engineering/ ElectronicsTechnician /Radio Communications or equivalent
- Full and current Driver Licence, competent with driving manual vehicles
- Minimum 5 years post apprecticeship trade experience, preferably in an underground mining environment
- Experience with Network switch, wireless access point and network device configurations
- Analogue Radio experience
- Experience with Industrial Auto Electrical systems and fault finding
- Experience with Extra Low Voltage systems and fault finding
- Leaky Feeder UHF systems experience
- Digital and analogue radio network experience
- RF over fibre experience
