About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Underground Mining, we are looking to appoint a Mining Superintendent to provide leadership across multiple operating underground mines and to take the lead on all activities relating to mine production. Key result areas include:
Frontline leadership and engagement with stakeholders
Ensuring safe and productive work practices are executed
Managing the performance, behaviour and development of your teams
Ensuring planning and scheduling is completed and production targets are achieved in accordance with business expectations
Manage operational spend with full accountability for any variance to the budget
Workforce planning for business continuity.
The position will be on an 8:6 (12-hour day) roster, FIFO from Perth or based residentially.
About you
As the Underground Superintendent you will have extensive experience working in an underground production environment and will have demonstrated how you have successfully led teams to safely deliver to plan. It is anticipated that you hold a current WA Underground Supervisor’s Certificate and associated competencies under the new legislation. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
Leadership skills including the ability to manage change, influence and motivate
Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory framework
Excellent cost management skills
Contractor management experience
Applicants who hold a First Class Mine Manager’s certificate will be highly regarded.
