Description:
DESCRIPTION
The Insurance Analyst will work within the Client Servicing Team of Davies Management Services, Guernsey providing underwriting support and insurance services to the portfolio of MGAs captive and cell business.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
- Preferably Graduate level
- Minimum 2 years insurance / underwriting experience
- Part CII Diploma qualified with a view to progression towards ACII
- Good IT skills, particularly in relation to Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwriting support and risk assessment
- Claims management including handling of claims data and settlements
- Liaison with clients and brokers on insurance related queries including premiums and claims
- Keep clients appraised of regulatory requirements
- Support new business opportunities
- Preparation of materials to board meetings and attendance as needed
KEY TASKS:
- Monitoring and assessing risk information via initial risk assessment
- Management of monthly premium and claims bordereau
- Participate in client calls, understanding their requirements and support accordingly
- Routinely manage claim payments
- Update authorization, payment and portfolio procedures
- Generate management and authorization review reports
- Maintain a full understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Collaboration with all other departments including treasury, claims, accounting and compliance as well as with colleagues within Davies Insurance Services in other jurisdictions, especially London
- Initial set-up of new/prospective clients
- Assisting in preparation of submissions to the GFSC
