Detailed Function/Job summary
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Development and marketing of reinsurance solutions and products to clients (main focus on the Southern Cone and Regional where applicable.
• Assess underwriting submissions for all non-life lines of business
• Negotiate and discuss treaty terms and conditions
• Analyze risk modeling results – RMS, Catrader, etc. when applicable
• Prepare risk review reports for internal purposes
• Contribute to company’s forecasting and budgeting processes
• Report to senior management on underwriting related issues
• Participate in client, broker and third-party meetings
• Participate in in-house planning and strategy sessions
• Contract administration and discussions for commutations
• Establish and maintain a high level of internal controls
• Handle special projects and hands-on ad hoc requests outside the day-to-day operations
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
•Minimum 5 years of Reinsurance experience
•Prefer a Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or Engineering
•Excellent analytical skills required
•Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
•Ability to work on own initiative
•Willingness to assume responsibility
•Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) required
•Willingness to participate in frequent travel
•Language Skills – Spanish & English
Required Education
College education is preferred.
