Underwriting (non-life) Manager

What will you do to be successful?

Purpose

• Defines the underwriting goals and designs the policy & guidelines with focus on UW profitability;
• Performs product development and portfolio management;
• Actively contributes to elaboration of pricing and, together with Actuary rates and aligns with the local market the covers, riders, packages of the insurance product;
• Proactively contributes in digital processes’ development aiming at an outstanding CX;
• Coordinates and performs competitive intelligence activities;
• Supports the partnership development with reinsurers, distributors/brokers and TPAs.

Key outputs

• Define the UW competencies and specific approval flows, considering the Group guidelines;
• Design Home Insurance for retail and develop Commercial Insurance solutions for SME;
• Delivers local benchmarks to identify and propose new saturation opportunities (products, channels and CX improvement);
• Direct contribution for preparing the business offers through all channels;
• Risk and Claims monitoring, Portfolio management;
• Delivers UW training sessions aiming at all distribution channels’ development.

Requirements:

Qualification

• Academic background, preferably Economic or Technical education

Knowledge & skills

• Casualty and Liability Underwriting seniority;
• Understanding of the local insurance Non-Life market.

The monthly salary range for the Underwriting (non-life) Manager role is between 14.100- 24.200 lei gross. The salary range showcased is only indicative. The final benefits package will be agreed upon during final negotiations with each candidate, by considering different criteria, such as the experience and skills level. Therefore, the finally agreed salary will stay confidential, as per the applicable law and we reserve the right to apply adjustments to the offer at any time during the hiring process.
