JOB OVERVIEW
FBD’s strategy includes the objective to profitably grow our Commercial Lines business.
We are seeking to appoint a Commercial Underwriting New Business Team Leader to support the continued growth of our Commercial Business across Commercial Property and Liability lines of business.
EDUCATION
- Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).
EXPERIENCES
- A minimum of 5 years Commercial Underwriting experience, with people management experience desirable
Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with and reporting to the Commercial Underwriting/Operations Manager the successful person will be results and service focused and key responsibilities will include;
- Support achievement of profitability and revenue targets per the annual plan.
- Support and implement FBD Strategy in Commercial new business
- Develop and implement overall service level agreements to ensure excellent service is provided to FBD Sales Branches and our Broker panel.
- Provide technical referral support to the team, Sales and Claims colleagues on technical queries.
- Implementing and report on quality assurance measures to ensure business is underwritten to the required standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement, administer and report to relevant stakeholders on underwriting strategies and objectives.
- Manage the performance of the team to support achievement of objectives.
- Ensure staff receive the appropriate training and development to optimise performance.
- Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
- Ability to manage and support a team in both operational and technical environments.
