South East Technological University (SETU) is an internationally-oriented university with a focus on further enhancing its role as an exceptional quality of life driver within the regional, national and international higher education landscape.
In February 2024 Waterford was designated by UNESCO as a member of the Learning City Network. UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities is an international policy orientated network providing inspiration, know-how and best practice. The goal of this initiative is to develop Waterford as a UNESCO learning city by mobilising resources in every sector to promote inclusive learning from basic to higher level education in communities and the work place and to create a culture of life long learning.
SETU now seeks to recruit an exceptional individual to lead and manage this initiative with its partners to deliver on the stated aims for Waterford as a Learning City.
The person appointed will be an experienced project manager, capable of developing strong local and regional relationships, possessing experience and knowledge of Lifelong Learning in the Higher and Further Education sector.
