SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior managerial experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality/hotel environment is preferred
  • Demonstrable experience of uniform stock management, with the ability to take charge, identify and introduce solutions to resolve issues related to stock.
  • Knowledge and use of LinenTrack or similar inventory software system
  • Strong people manager who can motivate and inspire a team, and ‘muck-in’ where needed
  • Friendly demeanour, supportive of colleagues
  • Adaptable with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process/systems improvements.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to look ahead and pre-empt issues or challenges
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Highly organised and good at managing deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in garment repairs, alterations, and fitting techniques
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Uniform Room Manager plays a key role in the business overseeing the Uniform Room operations and managing the Uniform Team. Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Uniform Room, quality and maintenance of garments, and most importantly, making sure your colleagues are always looking in tip top shape and ready to provide exceptional service to our members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operations & Service: Lead and manage the Uniform team ensuring staffing levels meet business demands and development needs are met. Manage the uniform room, including inventory management, development of procedures for garment fittings and maintenance (and conducting repairs and alterations as required) and overseeing the linen laundry process. Collaborate with other departments to understand their uniform needs and build strong relationships with colleagues to ensure readiness of uniforms for new hires.
  • Compliance: Ensure a safe, secure uniform room, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your work area. Uphold high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform presentation. Regularly inspect and report any faults or damage to equipment and fixtures. Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Always comply with the premises license operating requirements.
