The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Uniformed Services Lecturer to join our dynamic Sport & Uniformed Services department. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring our students receive the best possible education and support.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Holds an appropriate teaching qualification or substantial industry experience (or working towards a teaching qualification).
  • Relevant subject expertise and a degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum Level 2 Maths and English.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in a related field (e.g., Army, Navy, RAF, Fire, Police, Criminology).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

    This role is permanent, part time (4 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 29 hours). Actual Salary: £24,776 - £32,300 per annum
    Interviews will take place on 12th November 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assess students in practical settings, including the college gym, studio, sports field, and more.
  • Lead by example, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement improvement strategies to help students reach their full potential.
  • Engage in recruitment and marketing activities, student interviews, and community liaison.
  • Participate in curriculum development and the creation of high-quality learning materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students and stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
