  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:00pm. No weekends

    The Ascension St. Vincent’s Cardiac Holding Recovery Department is a specialized unit within Ascension St. Vincent’s hospital or healthcare facility. This department is dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients who have undergone cardiac procedures or surgeries, such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, open-heart surgery, pacemaker implantation, or other cardiac interventions.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area.

  • Greet patients and visitors, answer/screen/route telephone calls, files, distribute mail and performs other general clerical duties.
  • Communicate with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol. Schedule patients for individual appointment and in a timely manner.
  • Provide assistance with programs/software for Physicians/Clinicians through the order entry processes, transfers and discharges. Assemble and maintain patient charts.
  • Coordinate meetings/schedules meetings/rooms with the appropriate person, send notices as requested. Maintain meeting minutes. Enter and maintain timekeeping changes and staff schedules in computer systems.
