Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Unit Clerk provides clerical support, administrative duties and other related duties for the patient care unit to ensure efficient operation of unit activities. Coordinates confidential information and records relating to activities, communication, patient services and unit operations. This position will involve work with Provincial Staffing Services to assist with liaising our unit schedules and staffing levels. Additionally, there is extensive work supporting the use of electronic medical records for patients (Connect Care). Scheduling client/resident/patient test/treatments and arranging necessary transportation and performing other related duties as required. This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:

As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
