Description:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years’ experience in supervising staff and children in Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization.
- 2-3 years’ experience in daily program planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating.
- 1-3 years’ experience in managing and controlling an approved budget
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Current CPR and first-aid certifications (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Valid commercial driver’s license (or ability to obtain promptly).

General Responsibilities: Directs/manages overall daily operations of the club with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, safety of members and staff, facilities management, community relations, and membership administration.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee club administrative functions and requirements. Plan programs to reflect organizational goals.
- Set and supervise office procedures as well as, opening and closing day procedures for staff and members.
- Develop routines, schedules, and procedures for administrative operation.
- Supervise and evaluate all operations and program staff.
- Maintain, review records, and evaluations of all programs, operations, staff, and facilities.
- Prepare an evaluation and summary of current season including inventories, staff evaluations, member reports, and recommendations for the following season.
- Coordinate club schedule with unit staff and corporate office.
- Keep accurate records on programs, membership, attendance, and financials.
- Recruit, hire, and train club staff and AmeriCorps/Vista members. Organize and carry out a system for recruiting staff and AmeriCorps members by utilizing colleges, brochures, and networking relationships.
- Conduct in-service training and orientation.
- Delegate staff activities and other responsibilities.
- Assign staff and members to programming groups.
- Supervise work of all staff and AmeriCorps members ensuring excellence in performance.
- Prepare and supervise programming of club activities. Develop routines, schedules, and procedures for club programming.
- Organize and approve off-site trips for programs, supplies, and crisis management.
- Provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among staff and members.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all members and staff. Manage and implement crisis management plan, including emergency procedures.
- Conduct and evaluate weekly emergency procedures with all staff and members.
- Monitor safety of all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of members and staff.
- Verify staff has proper certifications (i.e. lifeguard certification, first aid and CPR certification, food handlers permit, etc.).
- Manage the food service program, supplies, staff, and maintenance. Hire and coordinate training of food service personnel.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food service personnel.
- Prepare menus and order food supplies according to organization policy.
- Manage and supervise sanitation and maintenance of food service facilities and equipment.
- Maintain club grounds, vehicles, and facilities. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Monitor and repair or request service for A/C systems, and food service equipment as needed to maintain proper use at club.
- Monitor maintain or report building maintenance needs to corporate office as needed.
- Monitor maintain and service programming equipment regularly (i.e. game tables, gymnasium, sporting equipment, computer lab equipment, etc.).
- Monitor and maintain operation of pool, supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance of grounds (i.e. trash, parking lot, grass, etc.).
- Maintain any assigned vehicle(s) in proper working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly to the corporate office.
- Assume financial responsibility according to approved budget. Order equipment and supplies, as needed, within approved budget.
- Request approval of supplies and equipment with Vice President of Operations.
- Maintain and report petty cash funds and expenses each month to corporate office in accordance with guidelines.
- Submit receipts for all purchases to corporate office with proper documentation each week.
- Receive, account for, and deposit all income as outlined in the Operations Manual.
- Assists in preparation of unit annual budget and manages operations within approved budget.
