JOB SUMMARY

The Unit Secretary has a basic working knowledge of all unit functions and is responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining and organizing all necessary equipment and supplies. Duties may include scheduling appointments, charging items, compiling and copying medical charts, reports, ordering, auditing, and other duties as assigned. On occasion US may have to work in the role of a sitter for patient safety.

EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Preferred: Previous Nurse Assistant experience

SKILLS

  • Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients and families
  • Exhibits valuable time management skills
  • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
