QUALIFICATIONS
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- A medical office assistant certificate or minimum one-year comparable office experience with medical orientation
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and ability to perform medical transcription
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel and PowerPoint, for data collection, inputting payroll, scheduling changes and assistance to leadership
- Accurate minimum typing speed of 45 w.p.m
- Experience dealing with the public in a fast paced and customer service environment
- Experience on an inpatient unit preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset
