The Organic Synthesis Group of Prof. Maulide in the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Vienna is currently seeking a PhD student with research experience in organic chemistry and natural product synthesis for 4 years temporary employment relationship.
Our Team currently consists of 10 post docs, 13 s, 2 senior scientists and administrative colleagues.
The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declation.

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
Studies on the stereoselective preparation of organic compounds. Special emphasis on the development of new synthetic reactions and reaction sequences, with a focus on the synthesis of bifunctional and photoactive molecules, the chemistry of diazirines and diaziridines, as well as their derivatives, the synthesis of halogenated heterocycles, transition-metal-catalyzed cross-soupling reactions and boronations, as well as the chemistry of alkynes.

We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months
