UPS Commissioning Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS

HNC / HND in Electrical or Electronic engineering or equivalent.
Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline.
10+ years in the Electrical / Electronic Industry or similar.
5+ Years in a UPS field operations role and or customer interfacing role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary role to undertake UPS project commissioning of any new equipment installed at a variety of both UK and European overseas locations.
• Specialist system testing activities which shall include SAT, IST and customer witness acceptance testing. Compilation of technical reports and procedures associated with specialist testing activities.
• In case of severe field issue and/or commercial importance, cooperate with local Delivery Organization in organizing and managing field site visits with the required level of technical competency.
• To become conversant with operation of the Vertiv manufactured product.
• To work in line with the company HSE policy & all safe working practices.
• To promote the company image on site by providing a professional service to customers, where necessary instructing site staff on care and operation of the installed equipment.
• Identify opportunities for equipment, maintenance contracts and replacement UPS, Battery and Capacitor sales.Appropriately and professional respond to all requests for assistance.
