REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or master’s (preferred) degree or equivalent in natural sciences, geoscience, reservoir engineering, facilities engineering, drilling/completions engineering, or other relevant technical discipline
  • Relevant industry experience is advantageous, preferably in an integrated energy company, service provider, or consultancy
  • Proven record of carrying out independent research, preferably as part of a recent relevant role
  • Experience in manipulating and analysing data

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

  • Demonstrable superior English language written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to successfully liaise with people from different cultures
  • Excellent listening, presentation, and report writing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrable critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and meet deadlines
  • Languages would be advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities:

  • Gather technical energy project data (predominantly reservoir, facilities, and wells) through client interactions, identifying and evaluating areas of risk
  • Undertake statistical analysis using IPA’s databases to quantify findings
  • Write comprehensive reports offering insight and recommendations for clients
  • Deliver presentations (virtual or in-person) for technical and business audiences
  • Collaborate with capital project teams and organisations to improve project/system competitiveness
  • Research project success and failure drivers using statistical methods and IPA’s database
  • Regular international travel to clients and other IPA offices
