Description:

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE OF THE URDAN TRAINING SUPPORT OFFICER:

  • Hold a valid driving licence suitable for use in the UK
  • Strong track record of managing and delivering complex outputs whilst protecting stakeholder interests
  • Proven track record of working within a busy customer focused organisation, demonstrating confidence to build client relationships at all levels
  • Ideally have experience working within a Military or Civil Emergency Services context
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and Project.

As an Urban Training Support Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for the client management, enhancement and delivery of the urban training solutions at Gibraltar Barracks (Minley).

Day-to-day, you’ll lead and support the continued enhancement and delivery of our Urban Training Facility currently in operation in Minley.

  • Liaise with training planning and users to schedule training events
  • Brief users on facilities as required
  • Undertake pre and post exercise inspections
  • Enable effective and efficient after-action review of exercise serials
  • Plan and oversee maintenance, repair and replacement of sacrificial units and general training area fabric
  • Establish and develop excellent client/stakeholder relationships with users, planners, supply chain and maintenance teams

The successful candidate will be expected to work core hours Monday-Friday but on occasion may need a flexible schedule, including weekend shifts, as required.
This role is full time OR part time, 37 hours per week and is based on-site at Gibralatar Barracks, Minley
