Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Logistics or equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing industry
  • Well verse in shipping documentations and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in DG documentations would be an added advantage
  • Proficient in Navision System will be an added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with cross-functional team
  • Excellent organizing skills

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate import operations with Purchasing, Logistics Service Providers, and Warehousing to ensure the timely receipt of shipping documents and customs clearance.
  • Obtain freight quotes from Logistics Service Providers to determine the most cost-effective shipping option.
  • Coordinate and resolve import operational issues including customs documentation, tariff classification, trade declarations, container damages issues, freight recovery etc.
  • Handle inquiries and requests from internal teams on import shipments, provide timely updates and information as needed.
  • Work with Finance to verify freight invoices and facilitate payments to Logistics Service Providers.
  • Prepare various reports, including monthly report on freight spends.
  • Manage local and overseas collections and deliveries of raw materials and indirect materials.
  • Monitor and follow up on payment-related matters as necessary prior to arranging shipments.
  • Coordinate bookings and transportation. For Dangerous Goods shipments, ensure PM4 approval from Logistics Service Providers before arranging container trucking with haulers.
  • Issue Packing List to the Warehouse for the packing and loading of goods.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of all shipping documents.Other admin tasks e.g. jurong island visitor/permanent pass application, participation in annual stock take etc.
