Company Description
MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines.
METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.
As the LNG Desk expands its position and footprint in the US by signing off-take agreements linked to Henry Hub, it is required to have a Structurer in order to support commercial activities and understand the fundamentals of the North American natural gas markets.
Job Description
- Supporting US LNG and NG origination and structured trading activities by structuring products, and;
- Provide short-term and medium-term analysis to support the commercial activities of traders
- Develop pipeline models, conduct and track forecasting for supply and demand and gas exports within the US Markets
- To expand our data feed with US data, and incorporate such in our database and Analytical Framework
- Communicate identified risks related to forward analysis and vendors
- Further develop models by introducing new data and improving its robustness with back-testing
- Ensure your research and analysis is communicated to traders within appropriate timeframes
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fundamental gas analysis gained within a trading environment, US Natural Gas experience advantageous
- Relevant educational background in a quantitative field
- Solid experience with Excel and VBA, additional programming experiences an advantage (Python, SQL)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Focused, analytical, proactive and questioning mindset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving and energetic environment
