JOB DESCRIPTION

The AWM Finance team is seeking an experienced leader and seasoned manager to be the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of JP Morgan US Private Bank (PB). This role reports to the CFO of the AWM organization and is responsible for providing financial accountability and transparency for the JPM US PB business. This CFO maintains strong financial discipline by partnering with business and functional leaders to provide sound direction, analysis and reporting while proactively managing risk. The position is responsible for helping drive revenue growth initiatives, while positioning the business to scale efficiently. The CFO is also responsible for managing profitability levers with an eye on return on investment and fiscal discipline. S/he leads a team of 20 people spanning multiple locations and functions including Forecasting and Financial Management across the full P&L, Product and sub-LOB financial analysis, and Strategic Business Initiatives. We are seeking top performers for this role who can engage quickly and deliver meaningful impact in a dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong financial acumen with 15+ years of work experience in financial services, holding title of CFO, Senior Finance Officer or similarly relevant role
  • Demonstrates command of financial services, drivers of value, and can effectively manage monthly financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Develop clear executive management reports and budget presentations for senior stakeholders, with strong executive summary and detailed business drivers, analyses and opportunities
  • Experience managing large scale projects and interacting with people across all levels of the organization
  • Superior time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask well under pressure
  • Excellent judgement, ability to identify and mitigate risk based on company and industry guidelines
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and interacting with people across all levels of the organization
  • Good understanding and implementation of data, automation, and emerging technology in a financial environment
  • Strategic thinker, results driven with exceptional leadership traits
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, adapts to change and navigates large organizations with confidence

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the Income Statement and budgetary process for the JP Morgan US Private Bank business and a significant partner in helping manage the Global Private Bank’s Balance Sheet and revenue forecasts
  • Serve as a thought partner to the US PB CEO while providing guidance and influence to the USPB leadership teams, including USPB Region Heads and Regional Heads of Investments and Advice, Practice Leaders, and Functional Partners to execute on key priorities and the 5 year growth plan
  • Drive the US PB financial activities including planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, investment ROI, expense management and business reviews
  • Lead financial strategy reviews, identifying and advancing growth and efficiency objectives
  • Hold the US PB organization accountable for budget targets and demonstrate the ability to be both highly disciplined with expenses and strategic with long-term investments
  • Build trusted relationships with peer finance executives and firmwide partners across the Asset & Wealth Management business and senior stakeholders
  • Drive reporting and analytics enhancements to leadership and key stakeholders to diagnose business results & drive decisions
  • Develop and maintain advisor performance scorecard metrics and compensation planning
  • Lead and develop the Finance team and talent base, with a focus on improving diversity and future-proofing skills
