User Experience Researcher- PayByPhone
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a User Experience Researcher. This position falls under our PayByPhone line of business located in Vancouver, Canada. In this role as a UX Researcher you are a core member of a team responsible for creating simple experiences for millions of PayByPhone users across the globe. You will be responsible for conducting user research studies, gathering, analyzing, and providing actionable insights that drive decision-making for product design and improvement. You are experienced in both formative and summative research, and you understand qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. You are comfortable collaborating with designers, product managers, developers, and marketing partners. This is a temporary contract position that will last one year.
How We Work

As a User Experience Researcher, you will be expected to work in a virtual environment based in Vancouver, Canada with occasional office visits

Role Responsibilities

  • The responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Plan, scope, and facilitate user research studies across various PayByPhone initiatives.
  • Apply various methods such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, diary studies, card sorting, and other relevant methods appropriate for addressing research objectives.
  • Perform analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Work closely with design, product, development, and marketing to identify their research needs and uncover research opportunities.
  • Communicate core themes and implications from your research activities to the design team and other stakeholders.
  • Considered a UX research champion within the PayByPhone organization and a collaborator within a cross-functional team.
  • Maintain an excellent level of trust and capabilities around mixed-methods research across the organization.
  • Be the voice of our users, with an understanding of their pain-points, workflows, localized needs, etc.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, manage your own workload, and deliver high-quality work quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years in the field of UX or User Research.
  • Excellent active listening skills, able to thoughtfully and respectfully respond to others’ ideas and concerns.
  • Strong communication, presentations, and storytelling skills.
  • Understanding of user research best practices, including qualitative and quantitative research concepts.
  • History of success planning, scoping, recruiting for, and facilitating user research studies across a variety of products.
  • Passion and proven experience performing a variety of user research methodologies.
  • Experienced using a variety of user research platforms and survey tools such as SurveyMonkey, UserInterviews, UserTesting, Maze, and research repository software such as Condens or Dovetail
  • Self-directed, proactive, responsible, and able to meet deadlines and research budget requirements.
  • Collaborative and cooperative, engaging with Designers, Product Managers, and marketing team members regularly.
  • Able to highlight your portfolio, highlighting your ability to uncover and understand user behaviours, needs, and motivations, leading to impactful research findings and recommendations, including validation of ideas and solutions along the way.
  • Qualifications or formal training in User Experience (UX), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), design, analysis, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a human behavior-related field such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying Behavioural Analytics would be considered a bonus.
  • Fluency in German and/or French is also considered a bonus.
