Description:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in tree cutting and arboriculture
  • Previous experience in people management
  • Experience of working with power lines and tree climbing
  • Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
  • A flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities
  • To keep up to date with legislation on tree protection and health and safety issues
  • To be able to carry out tasks on a computer or hand-held device, and being able to use GIS equipment will be useful

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Safepass
  • Manual Handling
  • Safe pass, Manual Handling and Occupational Aid required.
  • Chipper Certificate
  • UA 1 Irl – an advantage
  • Full Driving License

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all aspects of vegetation management around utility infrastructure
  • Work within a highly skilled team responsible for managing trees near the utility infrastructure
  • Complete risk assessments before work commences
  • Carry out requested works safely, efficiently and effectively
  • Set up safe working sites
  • Liaise with members of the public on site if approached
  • Carry out safety critical emergency works when required

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to continued expansion TLI Group are seeking applications for the position of Supervisor Utility Arborist. Relevant Utilities/Tree Trimming experience will be required for this role.
