Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in UV ink formulation.
  • In-depth understanding of pigment dispersions, polymer chemistry and UV curing mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment relevant to ink formulation and testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES:

  • Formulation Development:
  • Design, develop, and optimize UV ink formulations for various applications.
  • Maintain a systematic approach for ink formulation, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
  • Testing and Validation:
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of ink properties including adhesion, durability, colour, rheology, and cure speed.
  • Validate the performance of new ink formulations through standardized and application-specific tests.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the R&D team, sales, and application teams to understand market needs and tailor formulations accordingly.
  • Work closely with raw material suppliers to stay abreast of the latest technologies and innovations.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of ink formulations, testing results, and production procedures.
  • Prepare technical data sheets, safety datasheets, and other necessary documentation.
  • Scale-up and Production Support:
  • Assist in the scale-up of ink formulations from lab scale to production.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to ink formulation.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to UV inks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in ink formulation processes.
