Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to create interactive, user-friendly designs.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, with experience in MIDI and audio.
  • Strong understanding of and passion for music, with experience in music production, DJing or performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of user-centred design principles and responsive design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with design software such as Figma, or similar tools.
  • A proactive learner, keeping up-to-date with trends in music creation, design, and creative technologies

Responsibilities:

Our team is expanding, and we’re in search of an intermediate UX Engineer / Creative Technologist / Product Designer with a strong affinity for music. This role requires someone with the skills to use front end technologies like JavaScript; as well as MIDI, and audio to craft interactive prototypes. You’ll be at the heart of our user-centred design and testing process, and when not building prototypes, you’ll contribute to the specification of designs for development through our design system. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our UX and Product Design team to transform concepts into interactive prototypes using JavaScript, MIDI, and audio.
  • Contribute to our design system by specifying designs for development, ensuring consistent and high-quality user experiences across our products.
  • Actively participate in our user-centred design testing process, iterating on prototypes based on user feedback.
  • Stay abreast of trends and advancements in music creation technologies, as well as design and creative technologies.
  • Use your understanding of music production, DJing or performance to inform the design and prototyping processes.
  • Advocate for the end-user.
