As a member of the design team at KBi, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group to create educational products that are both engaging and instructional. We’re looking for a curious individual who is passionate about understanding people and enhancing their lives. Finally, you will leverage your keen eye for design to ensure the product’s intent is reflected in a beautiful UI that is effective and intuitive.

Your Role:

• Solve Problems by turning broad, conceptual ideas into user flows and experiences that are both simple and elegant.
• Test and Iterate collaboratively using rapid prototyping tools and techniques.
• Thrive on feedback and play a part in the creative process of the team by both providing and soliciting feedback.
• Design digital user interfaces, create graphics, and dream up new experiences and layouts.
• Work cross-discipline to communicate and document design specifications.
• Use storytelling to pitch your designs to staff and stakeholders.
• Build something bigger by working with other UI/UX designers to develop, maintain, and document our core design system.

Your Requirements:

• A link to a portfolio showcasing your work/experience
• Minimum 3 years professional UI/UX design experience or similar position
• A high interest in solving complex product challenges
• UX knowledge (Information Architecture, Usability, Prototyping, Design process) and sharp, up-to-date UI skills
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite and prototyping in Figma
• Working knowledge of CSS
• Organizational skills to manage deadlines on multiple projects
• Ability to work proactively to design autonomously in a responsive, fluid WFH environment
• Experience with motion design and designing for accessibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Extra Credit:

• Experience in leadership
• Proficiency with After Effects and Motion design
• Passion for video games and animation
• Experience in the eLearning industry
• Passion for, or previous experience with, teaching
• Proficiency with Front-end Development and/or HTML
• Understanding of 3D programs Maya, Unreal, Blender
