Job Description Summary: As a member of the User Experience Design team at PayPal, you will create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences through a deep understanding of our customers and exceptional design execution. You will collaborate with product and technology teams to build the next generation of financial service products by bringing the customer to the forefront in everything we do. The ideal candidate is an all-around designer with both interaction and visual design skills. This individual should have a passion for empathizing with the needs and behaviors of our customers and our business and how to solve for them through design. As a UX Visual Designer II within PayPal.com team, you will help to create new design assets to transcreate our new redesign for our top country site around the world in a rolling update. You will work alongside your cross-functional team members to influence decisions and ultimately deliver the best possible marketing website experience for our Consumers, SMBs, and Enterprise customers around the world. You will report to the Globalization Lead UX Designer and be a member of our diverse Global Design Organization where we use our design and research skills to inspire and influence across the company. REQUIREMENTS

  • +2 years of professional experience in designing web, desktop, and mobile visual design experiences.
  • Demonstrate a high level of visual design craft
  • Well organized, responsible, and dedicated, with the ability to manage your tasks on time
  • Self-learning, able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Expert-level skills in Figma, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in the graphic design field.
  • Motion design skills in Figma prototyping, and Adobe After Effects or Principle.
    For the majority of employees, PayPal’s balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace, ensuring that you equally have the benefits and conveniences of both locations.

Responsibilities:

As a UX Visual Designer, your responsibilities will include areas of design such as photography, product UI assets, page & component layouts, and Figma file management. You will use your knowledge, expertise, and skills in all these fields to help our users successfully navigate, be inspired, and sign up for our products.

  • Create Figma visual design assets for how PayPal’s products work for customers around the world.
  • Prepare work by gathering information and materials.
  • Generate clear ideas, concepts, and designs of creative assets from beginning to end.
  • Work collaboratively with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and, user-experience.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes engineers, product managers, and content writers.
  • Translate business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.
  • Staying in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, and trends in visual design field.
  • Interpreting storyboards to tell visual stories that support learning.
  • Prepare assets in post-production for development teams.
  • Create motion design assets translated from US animations to international markets.
