Description:
JOB OVERVIEW:
NI’s UX team is looking for an intern to join us as we continuously elevate our customers’ experiences on ni.com. The internship will focus on exposing you to UX in the workplace and giving you a sense of how work goes from concept to live on the website.
NOT REQUIRED BUT GREAT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN OR HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH
- Experience reviewing analytics
- Familiar with concepts like database, CMS, HTML/CSS, usability testingExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the company website
- Learn how a website CMS functions and UX’s role in it
- Shadow, co-create, and co-present webpage updates
- Follow the project to go-live to see UX’s role in each step
- Use and Refine a design system
- Learn about a Design System and how it’s used across a company’s IT teams
- Use the Design System to create webpage concepts
- Define, refine, and document Figma Components to grow the Design System
- Concept Iterative Improvements
- Work with the UX Researcher to find a potential opportunity
- Learn to independently iterate concepts and present them to the UX team for design critiques
- Present work to stakeholders
