This role will be responsible for managing several key functions of the flu vaccine program. This position will manage relationships with flu manufacturers as well as monitor and manage financial risk and manufacturer performance on $15m in annual volume. This position will also manage the flu program for several large key customers totaling $48m in revenue, from the beginning pre-book process through the returns process at season end. This position will be responsible for working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive service-based offerings as well as delivering financial value. This position will be expected to work with internal sales team to sell McKesson’s services for flu vaccine distribution. Position will report to the Sr. Manager, Vaccines.

CRITICAL SKILLS

  • 4+ years of relevant experience managing key functions in a program, including relationship management, financial risk monitoring, and performance management
  • 4+ years of customer service experience or account management
  • Intermediate MS Office proficiency

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Excellent customer service communication skills and track record of reliability.
  • Experience using Customer Service technologies (Salesforce, IBP, SAP, Office, etc.)
  • Able to work independently and drive results for customers and account managers.
  • Professional communication: strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with internal/external customers including sales team, account managers and co-workers
  • Flu Product knowledge required.
  • Extensive knowledge of customer service processes and procedures required.
  • Energetic self-starter with attention to detail who can be resourceful with issue resolution.
  • Able to effectively work in a local and remote environment collaborating and ensuring open communication to achieve timely completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task to meet various deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: able to analyze information provided, identify the root issue, and use resources appropriately to solve complex/escalated customers’ problems/questions in a timely manner.
  • Experience in leading mutually beneficial customer relationships
  • Some contract negotiation and project management skills
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical products and/or manufacturing space

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion McKesson interests with our flu vaccine manufacturer partners. He or she should achieve sales and buy-side profit targets through well-planned and executed collaborative negotiations with existing suppliers as well as identifying and establishing new partnerships with emerging flu vaccine producers.
  • Responsible for providing answers and assistance related to flu inquiries to our internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner. Educate customers on all aspects of the products and services available to them. Work with a sense of urgency and organization to ensure correct order is placed in accordance with distribution center deadlines
  • Collaborate with account management teams across all segments, to assist in building a more robust service and value proposition to customer groups. Involve VP’s and account executives in the process to help conveying the value throughout business reviews and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, customers and the Sr. Manager, Vaccines, to implement existing and new flu vaccine programs that improve customers’ outcomes and expands overall sales and all-in profit for McKesson.
  • Act as a strategic partner with key flu vaccine manufacturers. Monitor financial performance, value, and compliance throughout the flu season. Provide insight and suggestions to manufacturing partners to help strengthen overall offering to McKesson customer base.
  • Manage several key large-scale customers year-round through the sales and returns process as the main point of contact for Flu pre-book management (form review, validate pricing, upload organize/ maintain files, reporting and communication).
