Description:
The Bell Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by assisting with luggage, transportation, and other needs. They are the first point of contact for many guests at the resort and play a critical role in creating a welcoming and positive experience.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, with a willingness to go above and beyond to meet guest needs.
- Ability to lift heavy luggage and stand for extended periods of time.
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon their arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude, providing a positive first impression.
- Assist guests with their luggage, ensuring proper handling and delivery to their rooms.
- Provide guests with information regarding hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, offering recommendations when necessary.
- Maintain a neat and organized bell desk area, ensuring luggage carts and equipment are clean and in good working condition.
- Coordinate transportation requests, including hailing taxis or arranging shuttle services, to facilitate guest travel.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the appropriate departments when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of guest luggage, ensuring proper tagging and storage for security purposes.
- Assist with valet parking services, when required, to ensure smooth parking and retrieval of guest vehicles.
- Collaborate with the front desk staff to ensure efficient check-in and check-out processes, assisting with guest registration as needed.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the hotel’s policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to provide accurate information to guests.
