Overview: CLS is currently going through an unprecedented and exciting period of growth and development and is now looking for an experienced Validation Microbiologist to provide the highest level of expertise to our Microbiology Team at our Medpharma Lab. This is an exciting opportunity to join CLS as a full-time employee.
Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is the highest accredited contract laboratory in Ireland, providing industry-leading sampling, analysis and fully trained micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients in the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The Role: Validation Microbiologist.
Location: Microbiology Laboratory, Medpharma, Tuam Road, Galway.
Reporting to: Director of Microbiology
Duties & Responsibilities
The Validation Microbiologist will report to the Director of Microbiology and will be Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the microbiology laboratory in MedPharma.
Responsible for method validation, method transfer, method verification, method development and experimental design and liaising with customers on same.
Trouble shooting with analysts to problem solve and communicate with stakeholders.
Lead microbiology analysts for method development and validation of new products for microbiological testing.
Initiate and /or implement changes to controlled documents. Prepare or review protocols and validation reports.
Participate in regulatory and customer audits.
Evaluate lab practices for compliance and operational excellence improvement.
Provide technical guidance to the microbiological team and project stakeholders.
Represent the department/organization on various occasions.
Interact with outside resources.
Compliance with ISO 17025, INAB requirements and CLS internal quality and technical procedures.
Assisting the Quality Manager and deputy in maintaining the quality of tests carried out in the microbiology laboratory, results obtained and all relating procedures, protocols and records
QUALIFICATIONS:
3rd Level Science Qualification .
3-5 years’ experience within GMP Microbiology laboratory preferably or Validations.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Effective troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
